OLD FOLK INSTRUMENTS
A 60 min concert with introduction to ancient Finnish instruments such as 5-15-string kanteles, bowed lyre, jew's harp, traditional wind instruments (klarinet-type mänkeri, wooden horn, overtone flute...) reindeer skin drum from Lapland. Runo singing and joik are also included.
Shepherd music, traditional and improvised tunes and contemporary folk tunes.
Songs and rhymes for children (Age: 3-6- yrs). Language: Finnish.
Instruments: 5-15-string kanteles, 2-row accordeon, bowed lyre and drum.

WORKSHOPS, LECTURES, TEACHING and CONSULTATION
Minna Raskinen has a post-graduate degree in folk music from the Sibelius-Academy. She has extensive experience in organizing education, teaching folk music (history, kantele, folk songs, ensemble playing, pedagogy, improvisation) and organizing events. Arranging and teaching both beginners and advanced classes for students of all ages, in Finland and abroad.
The cd is out in August 2017
Inspired by church bell music! New project, the show will have its premier in November 2015.

THE ROCOCO DAMSEL, THE CAT, AND THE DOG
A short play for everyone
A damsel yearns for a groom. A cat wants cream and fireside warmth. A dog needs a misstress and some bones to gnaw. Can these three ever to be reconciliated? Cat's cunningness, dog's determination, and damsel's courage is needed to solve this problem. Will we see a happy end or does the cat walk alone and is the dog left barking on a beach? Does the damsel find her perfect match? Plots, guises, and animal wisdom is needed to solve everything!
This play contains wild humour, beautifull melodies, and exciting events!
